This is not out of consideration . . . it's a possibility. I'm not wild about Zaitsev, but Nylander brings more offense than Jenner.

NO . . . NO . . . NO . . . on Kessel. He's not a team player - and if the coach has the team gathered together, Kessel is away from that, on his own.
He doesn't want/can't carry the load - he wants to play on a team like the Pens - where Crosby & Malkin carry the load, he and Hornqvist pick up the garbage.

Columbus probably has more of a Blackhawk depth then a Predator depth , two dominant defenceman who chew up minutes followed by a shutdown pair and whatever goes on the third pairing.

I'd trade Korpisalo to Carolina for Pesce.

then proceed to trade Zach for Nylander.......or may I venture Marner if this gets too ugly for the leafs ( yeah I went there)

Please help me out here, I do not understand.

We are possibly, err absolutely, err maybe, err definitely losing our all-NHL G, and two of our best forwards, 3 of our top 5 or 6 players.

We have at $30 million dollars in cap room if they all leave, with possible buyouts if needed.

So why are even discussing trading or letting go out 2nd best D-man, and possibly trading one of our top nine forwards and our 3rd best defenesman for a player with a bad attitude and a d-man nobody in Toronto seems to want?

Is this a game of 'how many players can we get rid of until we are like Arizona?' or 'how many teams can we give our best players to?'

BTW, does anyone disagree with the thought that giving Vegas Clarkson's contract while letting them get Karlesson (sp?) is starting to pay dividends?

Yes for Clarkson also Bleacher report saying Duschene still in play for cbj , if he signs past July 1st do we still owe Ottawa the first ?

I read that you wouldn't, but it wasn't a reputable source so not sure how much stock to place in it.

One would think Duchene would want that extra year though.
